So, I've had to do a reinstall of Windows and lost EVERYTHING! So I am trying to set up my e mails again. I've done two as I, luckilly, had written down the passwords to access the server. One I didn't. Does anyone know how to find it? I've tried talkking to Virgin, well the foreign outsourced poorly trained people. Got bounced around god knows where in the world and got sick to death of giving my password /name/ reason for living / to each person and after 60+ minutes gave up. What a poor customer service they have!

So, does anyone know how to get it? I've also tried their web stuff and go round and round in circles, password / log in / password / new e mail/ passowrd /verify / password / ETC ETC for 8 hours on and off.

Like a turkey 🦃

Are they all @virginmedia.com /uk addresses?

If one is say, a @BT address and you have been accessing it through virgin, then you may need to contact them rather than virgin. They may not be that helpful if you aren’t paying them anything

Unfortunately I had the same issue and went round and round the irritating circle.
Eventually I spoke to someone there who was really good, explained it to me and it was pretty simple (which was just as annoying as all the others were truly hopeless) - sadly I can't remember what it was - I think it was a password reset using the web browser and my other email address but I am certainly no expert in these things, so don't take my word for it.

Having a blueyonder email account, I have migrated all my important stuff away from them since they were hacked a while ago and kept it quiet for some time.
I'm now seeing lots of dodgy mails just through blueyonder.

Something that I always find very frustrating is the use of internet provider email addresses , it forces you to stay with them when you could leave for a better deal but you go oh it's a faff to leave

Strongly advise anyone to use a Hotmail or Gmail service

Do you have an iPhone? If you do, and it’s up to date, you should have a Passwords app which you can scroll through to see all your various login details. If you access that mail account on that phone, the details should be there.

I had a chat we my lad last night about it and he said because it used to bounce between virgin and sky that he just has a Gmail account. I think I'm going to go down that route. It's just to have a professional e mail when required.

If you want a professional email, why not buy a domain name so you could have say @crazyface.co.uk or.com or .net?
TBH though, having a gmail email isn't seen as anything less and would be more secure than your virgin based one. Also. being gmail would mean you would be able to access it from many places without much hassle.

I know exactly what you mean, so frustrating!!
When I had my issue I managed to find the customer services number, (English speaking person) who was very good and helpful. Failing that ask for cancellations and when you give reasons why. Hey presto!
Good luck. 👍
