Hiya. Does anyone know how to retrieve passwords after wiping a HDD and reinstalling windows? I've lost everything and can't get back into my e mails.

What did you have then stored on? Some kind of account or just a word file?
If you can't get them back it's no big deal just go through and reset the lot. Won't take forever, I changed all 300 of my passwords the other month to unique random passwords I don't even know
What you need to do is use a password manager (Google is a great one) have a strong master password and let the password manager generate your passwords

Phew, I do, apparently. I think my panic is over. Well almost. Just got to sort the email file now.
