As the title really...will golfers ever be completely satisfied with the equipment in their bags? Why does there always seem to be the need/desire/want to buy new clubs etc?

It's a no from me.

As happy as I am with my set up, I have no doubt something will change next year. It's the temptation that his new club will make me better and that makes us part with our cash.

Simple answer - no golfers will never be satisfied

Because the game evolves and moves on in terms of technology. Nothing wrong with wanting new stuff as long as you can afford it and its not at the detriment to family budgets etc.

Because new clubs make you better.......:mmm:

Golfers, for the most part, are Human. We like to be sold things. We are easy to sell to.
Tell a golfer he will hit the ball further and, even if he knows its a crock, he'll still buy.....or she..!!

The answer will always be no, people will always have their heads turned by new equipment.

People will also always think of a gap in their bag.

I'm quite happy at the moment but can't help thinking a MP-H5 would be good......

I'm glad it's not just me then! I know my equipment is fine...but I always have that small desire to change. I have never putted so well as I do now with my Tank..but part of me really wants a Scotty. My irons are no problem, but I fancy some AP2's or CB's etc

Don't do it switched from a Scotty to my Tank and have never looked back

That's what I have been thinking. Then I look at replacing weights in the bottom of the Scotty to make it heavier, and it goes from there! Inevitably, eBay is loaded up and I take a look to see what is available!!

The only one that would tempt me is the counter balanced one, I loved my California Fastback it was a stunning looking putter but I was far too inconsistent with it.

I've had more irons over the last decade than I should have but once I found the TM TP's (08 version) they were great but even then I wanted to tinker and so got tested for the best to suit my game at the time and got the G25. I only changed those for pure vanity purposes as I hated the look of them over time when I was chipping. I love the I25's but I'll always hit a new club on the market at a range if I get the opportunity to see what it feels like

putters are my weakness, luv messing with the new models that come out and then having to tell myself that i putt fine with my anser and getting a new one would mess it all up!

I just love trying out new clubs. Am happy with mine, but there is something about borrowing your mates driver, their new 7 iron or even something interesting that pops up in the shops 2nd hand bin! It was an anser driver for me this week... Shouldn't have hit it, but did and now I'm tempted ;)

Nope, putters are the crack of the golf world to me!!! Just bought another one....

In my head I'll add a 2 iron to my bag (only got 13 clubs) for next summer and everything else will be the same.

I think I said that last year, 4 iron sets, a few drivers and a sprinkling of fairway woods ago....

I must be an oddball then, generally happy with the clubs I have.

I only switched my MX-23s to the JPX 825s this year as I had a wad in my Pro-Shop account. (And if I'm going to be honest I wish I hadn't bothered)

That is how we are, always striving for the holy grail that will cure all problems. I am thinking about the TM RSI TP as I want to have a full set of irons from 2i to PW rather than the hybrids I use now due to my clubs not coming in anything lower than a 4i. Problem is that will mean new wedges also as the TM have a 47* PW.
