Evening all.......

Not getting out to play much lately over the blasted frost  has my mind working overtime and my use of the WWW increasing......

Iv been wondering lately about the different club types and there effect on the average player and there swings...

Now without getting into a huge argumentitive debate about who should and who shouldn't be playing x,y and z clubs is there really that much of a distance gap between the different models.....

I guess what im really looking for the answer to is,
Is there really a perfect club for a set handicap or swing type....

Myself, I play with a naturaly left to right flight caused by a good amount of upper body dominancy.....Something im working hard on....

This in turn as most will know causes an out to in swingpath which produces fairly sizable divots enough at times to unearth and remove hole familys of worms.... :o :D :D

Anyway rooting around on the internet has brought up a few interesting ideas for me...
With my out to in swing would i benefit more with a wider soled iron....Would this help me take a shallower divot.....

Also with an iron with a little more offset produce a straighter ballflight for me......

Oh and ignore my sig as im still waiting on my Ping i15's
Its been 6 weeks now....I think that the shop is giving me the runaround....So much so that im thinking of cancelling the order and going elsewhere.

Six weeks for Ping seems very odd as they are usually one of the quickest for turning orders around so I'd be giving the shop some real hassle and finding out what the issue was.

Personally I think you're thinking way too much about this. If you are already addressing the swing issues and have the I15's on order anyway I think the problem sorts itself. The I15's aren't as wide on the bottom as some Pings but are wider than a lot of models and so if your looking for that help I think you'll get it anyway

I was thinking that myself Homer.....
I know the guy pretty well as i worked with him for nearly 6 years ande im wondering is this having a bearing on the issue....Maybe id be better if i were a total stranger.....On the plus side i havent parted with money yet.

I'd speak to the guy first in case there's a problem and then look elsewhere. Did you get custom fitting or are you buying off the shelf. If its the latter then there a plenty of offers on the internet and you might save a few quid

He wouldnt have a huge choice in the shop and im wondering is it a case of him not paying bills on time or something......

But i was custom fit no huge change just stiff shafts with red dot....I think its just above standard measurements Homer....Oh and yellow grips which are only slightly thicker i think.

Ping are running slow on custom orders at present, I know someone who is waiting for a set of S56's and he's in the same boat!
