Anyone else having this problem???
Every time I log on to the forum I seem to get 2/3 pages in and then the whole page freezes which then takes me 60/70 secs to shut off and restart in a new page!!
Any suggestions welcome!?I thank you!!

It's not freezing my comp but after a while it takes an age for text to appear after I have typed it. Had to restart the PC twice today because of it. Doesn't do it on any other page just this forum. I think it's got something to do with these GIANT ads we now have.

Yep. I'm suffering the same problem, so much so that I've given up using the laptop to log on and now just do so on my phone. :(

Very frustrating, especially for my missus as it means that she then has to upload her surveys/pages etc all over again!means that she is not a happy bunny!!!
Mr.Harris ............beware!!!!Hell hath no fury like a woman who can,t access her surveys!!""??

will get the tech team to look into this as thought it had been fixed

I had this issue once after I was trying to add a reply to a post, I did a re-fresh on the page and un-cached it with F5. Problem is probably the amount of users on the site.

Hi all
had the following response/advice from the tech team

This could simply be an IE8 browser issue and/or a dodgy advert. In the short term we would request if you are having problems then email me (email below) your browser and version along with any details they can provide about the adverts appearing at the time it crashed (if possible of course).

Are the ads drawn from a 3rd party server Mike? (if yes, can you host them locally instead?) It's normally the ads that cause the browser to hang/crash.

I,ve noticed recently that the laptop freezes when a cookie is being downloaded. I know this is the case because AVG initiates a warning pop up. How do you stop or limit cookies?

This is getting silly.

Bog standard desktop pc. Running bog standard software.

Everytime over the last couple of days I've tried to open GM in either ie or opera it freezes.

Not quite a Natwest incident, but I'm wondering if there's been some eastern outsourcing going on at gm towers.

It's rubbish.

Have you tried downloading and running Adblock as a temporary fix?

Fella if you arent prepared to do anything to help yourself first of all then wind your neck in. Try and download adblock or google chrome then if that doesn't make a difference complain. As a few folk have said there is no issue (seemingly) with chrome so try that before you start demanding to get the forum fixed. In your original post you asked for suggestions you got them but aren't willing to try them :confused:

Chris ...........you're probably right, maybe I should try getting up to speed on all these techy things!
at this moment in time though I really can't be ursed.
I admit that when it comes to techy then I am a dinosaur(did they all have long necks to wind in???)
