Sorry mate but I absolutely disagree.

The life blood of the forum are those guys that organise stuff. Meets, HFH etc

If those guys get lied to and dicked around then they won't bother and we all lose.

The question is hypothetically why would someone lie, using a serious excuse to get out of a forum meet??

That would be because they have low self esteem and feel the need to impress or control situations through lies.
