After wat tiger woods has done i dont think it will be wen he wants to return 2 golf i think its wen his wife will let him,wat a nightmare posision 2 be in.I feel im in an amazing position,my girlfreind but mother of my 2 children encourages me in everything i do and absolutely loves it wen ive had a good game, encouraging and supportive.wen ive had a bad game shes also supportive.i also play 3-5 times a week depending on the weather still supportive, also shes well aware that i wear the trousers in r relationship and my decision is final, question do you get to play as much as you like or does your misses put her foot down.

I play when I want. Tiger should also do the same, I think he's MAD for not just getting on with it. Life doesn't stop just because you get caught with your trousers down. If it's that bad at home then he should just get divorced and move on.

My mrs has never EVER questioned anything I have done in the 5 years we have been together. She has always let me get on with it, be it golf, football or whatever. The day she did is the day I would walk. I play as much golf as I can make time for. Its usually work that stops me playing!

I have never been stopped from playing but also appreciate that there needs to be a bit of give and take and so I only play once at weekends and have a bit of quality time with my wife on the other day.

I guess because we don't have kids its not so much of a problem for me to play or practice as and when I like. My wife is really good about it and as long as she has the car (we're a one car family) while I'm at the club (she drops me off) so she can do her own thing she's happy.

CODE FOR: the wife wears the troosers. ;)

My missus tolerates any of my hobbies, she doesn't like it, wont discuss it or get involved with it. She has zero interest. She would never step foot over the clubhouse threshold. I play once a week in winter twice in summer. I have to take her to the pub now and again on a Saturday dinner, too many young 'uns out on a night for us, so it isn't too much to ask. Apart from that I just get on with it really.

My wife and family always come before golf, and given the option of spending a Sunday with the wife or on the course, the wife wins hands down. I play Saturdays ;)

pokerjoke: I hate to break your bubble, but dont you have the faintest idea of your responsibilities with 2 young children ?
By that I dont just mean in helping, instead of playing up to 5 times per week, but in actually spending time with the kids so they dont grow up with a distant relationship with you, which they will.

My Father in law was the first to admit that his 'obcession' for Golf cost him dearly when the kids were young, he played every weekend, sometimes twice, and grew old regretting it strongly.

When my own 2 were young, I played when I could or when the kids were perhaps otherwise occupied.
Now they are 19 & 16, I can play much more, without it affecting them.

I arent even going to answer your ' who wears the trousers' rubbish, its pathetic and childish.
In fact, it vies with your spelling and diction for 10 in the Immaturity stakes.

I play when I can, usually before a backshift or a few holes before a nightshift and try and get a good few medals or competitions in if I can.

I do however have a fantastic 3 year old son and a beautiful 9 month old daughter and they will come first. They always will come first. Up point one or a day on the beach hunting crabs and building sandcastles watching the excitement and joy on the wee mans face, no contest!

To the OP, yer a windbag son!

well i have a 7yr old daughter and a 2yr old little man and what i do is to bring my daughter with me to the club on saturdays to practice with me for a few hours she's still a bit young yet to push her but she does have her own clubs and she loves the game.....Hopefully the small man will take to it the same so when he does ill just drop them with the juniors for there practice on a saturday and play a practice 9myself for our competitions on sundays, The kids are out of there mothers hair for 4or 5 hours , She's free to chill or go shopping with the girls ,Im scoring brownie points and everyones Cushtie.....Simples..... :D :D
