For me it was Padraig Harrington, securing a major championship and coming so close to the order of merit again makes him my choice.

Close contenders have to be Angel Cabrera - a man who truly deserves every success he gets, Justin Rose & Tiger Woods (even though I am not a fan) for his dominance again of the rankings.

For improvement, Rose. He's a major star now. Harrington and Cabrera were already great players.

....and Andres Romero finally repaid my faith in him (a few bets over the last year) and won for the first time. So chuffed for him.

My vote would be for Padraig Harrington.

As john says for improvement it has to be justin rose.
In the no surprises award it would be sergio(nearly but blew it)garcia.

And over the pond it would be Steve Stricker for a great season.

Without hesitation a golfer who has undoubted talent and who is a true World Number one. A consistant World beater and as gracious in defeat as they are in victory, a true credit and asset to the game of golf. Also very close to their upbringing and family roots.

Has to be Lorena Ochoa, simply awesome golfer. Well done on a fantastic 2007!

European Tour--Harrington for his Open win and Rose for his orfer of merit win.

US tour-Woods no explanation needed--and Stricker for finding his best form after a number of years in the doldrums.

Women-Only one winner----Michelle Wie--

sorry that should read Lorena Ochoa.

me - first year of golf. played in snow, rain, sun and thunder. broke the ton, got the first birdies, finally got the third card signed for handicap (probably be 22) and got round with the same ball.

Otherwise, for an almost faultless performance - Lorena Ochoa
