Who subscribes to Golf Monthly?

I signed up a couple of years ago and got the AD333's. Renewed this year and will continue to do so.

Not a subscriber to any others. I used to buy Golf Punk but after a few months, i realised it is not aimed at me and that I would look shocking in any of that BunkerMentality gear ;o)

I do wonder if there's anything that GM ought to consider in response to Foreforehteday's idea of subscribing then cancel then re-subscribe to get the freebies each year? Maybe some sort of loyalty scheme....yes, I mean free balls ;)

I was going to subscribe but the €118 against £48 for living south of the boarder put me off.

Can buy it for the 'rip off' price of €5.90 a month here and still be cheaper :(

I know I'm going to need to economise this year & reign in my magazine purchasing & simply buy myself a couple of choice subscriptions. GM is one I want to go over to subscribing to as soon as they offer a choice of incentive that I'll use. The other Mag I'll have to decide upon it could be any of my other three faves of GW, GI & GP. That said even TG do some interesting subs deals from time to time even if sometimes its full of errors. That said even GW has had its fair share of whoppers, as far as editorial errors go.

But either way its going to be two subscriptions as a limit this year.

I subscribed a few weeks ago because I was sick of sainsbury waiting a week before sticking it on the shelf. I dont mind the 333's They will do for bounce games and go in the shag bag once they are past it!

I got my subscription as a prize in a charity auction so I've actually paid over the odds this year but the money was for a good cause. When I renew it will be for the content not the offer. That said I am tempted to also look at Golf World as it is a weight tome and does have some decent articles. I'd rather pluck my eyes out with a rusty nail than pay for or take a subscription out on TG. It is so opinionated and biased towards 4 brands. The quality of the writing is poor and they are clearly starting to "borrow" ideas already in place with GM (pushing the forum, user testing etc)

Hi guys,

If you have paid a lump sum for the year, the subscription will need renewing. If you pay by DD, as like any other DD, it will continue until you (please don't) choose to cancel.

We at the mag are all ears (within reason) to find new and inventive ways to get readers to subscribe. However, as I'm sure you all appreciate it's our role to ensure you keep coming back to the mag for its content.

If you have any queries on subs you can check your status here, or alternatively call the subs line on 0845 676 7778.

Hi Alex,

I've been subscribing to GM for about 3 years now. Are there any freebies for loyalty? That reminds me, my subscription is up for renewal soon!!!! Those Bridgestone balls look quite nice!!

Golfmmad.

Can someone explain this to me, down the shops it costs about €5.60 for golf monthly but when I looked on the website here about subscribing I got this:

Golf Monthly subscription rates for Irish Republic
Three Years at €180.00 Normal Price = €346.20 save 48%
Two Years at €120.00 Normal Price = €230.80 save 48%
One Year at €60.00 Normal Price = €115.40 save 48%

First of all there's no incentive to buy 3 years over 1 years as it works out at the same price but more importantly where do they get the Normal Price from? This has probably been discussed to death but couldn't find it anywhere.

just reading through this months and as ever some good features, not sure who did the 50 value courses but I can tell you that Alnmouth Village G.C.is most definately not £14.50 a round thro the summer, winter time maybe but not during the summer months.

I'm enjoying my 2nd year of subscription! :)

My darling missus got it for me for Christmas again. She bought it through WH Smiths. Unfortunately I got diddly squat in the way of freebies (any GM top brass listening???? I'm open to anything for nowt!!!!)

Not plugging it, but subscribing is the way forward. You get a copy of the mag (including freebies, when included) guaranteed every month.........plus you get it before it hits the shelves!

NB. Alex or Mike, I'm sure you have my address, I should expect my freebies within a week or two should I? ;)
