Well that could be the big test in the summer,the overall squad will need strengthening for starters (more so if in Europe ) and I am a bit blinkered regarding Ashley as I detest the bloke......so my gut feeling is he will not back Pardew with 'big' signings............maybe more of a case will he(Ashley) consider selling top players like Ben Arfa,Krul,Tiote,Cisse.

Aye Pardew certainly starting to prove he is a good manager/tactician......and the fans have taken to him now.
