Who is coming to Powerplay on the 31st?

I am interested in who is going to be at the Powerplay in Watford on the 31st.

I have not had a moment to even look up what Powerplay is but I am keen to know who I may get to meet or play with?


Has anyone played there and is it special?

I'll be there, half day from work so hopefully there's not much traffic.

I've looked it up on t'internet and found out that there's two holes on each green, one being the 'Powerplay hole'. If you select this hole before teeing off then any score better than a net Par get's double points. If I am wrong I apologise and I presume we'll get a full briefing on the day.

Really looking forward to it.

Yep half day for me too and I have only just put the request in at work

I am going to leave Beconsfield at 1 so should be in Watford my 2 pretty easy even if the M25 is crappy.

I have the whole day off and will be driving up Tuesday night to stay with a mate of mine in Bushey. Then off early to meet Murph, Region and RichC for a morning knock beforehand.

Best bit about it is that it's not costing me a holiday day from work.

I'm there, as is Pieman (another local with course experience).

I have played The Grove a fair few times. It is a very nice course. Normally in superb condition. The fairways are awesome to hit off, and the greens can be quite slick.

Even knowing the course, I still have no idea which holes I will be calling a power play on.

Power play has two flags, a black one in a tough placement, and an easier white one. You double your points if you go for the black one, but can only do this so many times. All will be explained at the briefing.

You will not be disappointed by the golf course.

If thats how its going to be ill take Imurg and Fundy although I am not sure they will feel the same way

Point was being from the same place I thought it would have been fun to have played as a team and seen how we did against the might of the forum but apparently it will be a random draw so someone is going to be unlucky and get me

Looking forward to it. Watched the power play event on sky at Celtic manor and the format looks kinda interesting and the Grove is always in awesome shape.

I'll be there as well - got the day off so I can make sure I get down there. Think I'll give the M1 a miss and use M40 after the nightmare traffic getting to Luton Hoo for HFH, that's if the mobile car park of a motorway is still being dug up around Luton.

I'm going too. I walked the course a few years back when it held the World Golf Championships that Tiger Woods won. It looked to be in lovely condition and I'm looking forward to finally playing it.
