Haha no i do like British players, but i think it would do Molinari more good than if Clarke won. I think hes passed his time but thats my opinion

I really do hope Clarke can do it, he seems like a nice bloke and has been a stalwart of European golf not forgetting it is nice to see someone over 40 win once in a while.

Hope Clarke wins thereby qualifies for the Open next week.
I'd like to see Clarke do it but I'm worried he might wilt under pressure tomorrow. Would be great to see him inthe Open again though.

Aslong as Clarke is the highest placed non-qualifier, he will qualify.
Yup a win or second place would be good enough.

I think he has to also finish in the top 5....ie if he finished 6th but all those ahead of him had already qualified, then he wouldn't get in.

Both players look solid enough. Molinari seems to have the edge and the momentum though.

I was surprised to see him only make the front of the do-or-die hole. It was 275 to there, and I guess he hit it 276, except not dead straight.
If Darren only hits it 276, how come everyone on here is up at 300?

I haven't seen anything of him recently, but on day one Ken Brown said that Clarke had been playing well recently, but his putting had been poor.
I think Clarke has the better pedigree.
I think Clarke is more likely to go on and have a good St Andrews, and, if he can carry this form forwards, is more likely to play well if picked for the Ryder Cup.
Molinari seems a nice enough guy, but if he didn't have his brother he wouldn't get much media time at all - he's a bit faceless, and doesn't seem to be a 'winner', just a good regular money earner.
It's Clarke for me.

Clarke wont win the Scottish Open I said that from day one, he's not got the bottle or the putting stroke any more.
Lovely likeable guy but sadly wont ever grace the winners podium again at top level golf.

By chance I am playing Clarkes home course today (3.30) with one of his school classmates. May have to stop after 9 to go into the clubhouse to see the last few holes and soack up the craic.
