Sorry if the title is a generalization, however on my way in to work this morning looks in the mirror a van so close i could see nothing but the driver no bonnet nothing , he them proceeds to undercut me swerves in front and slams the brakes on !! Then drops along side and starts a torrent of abuse for about a half mile then throws something at my car before shooting off .All this because i was following the speed limit and this a**e was in a rush .Unfortunately i had forgotten to put my dashcam in this car as i only got the vehicle a short while ago .
Still amazed at how some people think they are able to get away with behavior like this and get away with it especially as it has UKMAIL plastered all over it and a clean reg plate .

Rant over .

Have done ,don't want to see anyone loose their job but this was bad.
I would want him tarred and feathered! The abuse and And a bit of gesticulating is not great but not dangerous. The fact that he threw something at you is inexcusable! That can cause a crash if you react by swerving.

Take it as far as you can!

Update, his manager just rung me back someone else saw his behavior so he is going to get him back in to base and investigate further . Should be interesting ,,, feel crap though , don't want him to loose his job if its one silly event.

If someone else has seen and reported him then he deserves all he gets imo - too many dickheads on the roads these days

YOU feel bad for reporting him, but he may have a history of this kind of thing, may others before you could well have reported him as well. If he's done it once, he's done it many times judging from the comments you wrote.

If he loses his job because of HIS actions then he only has himself to blame, no one else.

You have done the RIGHT thing. Because in all such things it's not just about how you feel - but how all the others who have had the same treatment - or worse - and for those who may find themselves so distracted or upset that they are then subsequently in an accident.

He's a dickhead and one less on the road is an improvement.

I'm not defending his actions, but how was he able to undertake you and then get infront?
If you where driving to the Highway Code, you "should" have been keeping left unless over taking.

They changed it a few years ago mate, the rule now is stay in the outside lane until you get to your junction and then get into the left hand lane as late as possible.
That's how it works on the A1 on the North East anyway ;)

I have to agree. Nothing winds other drivers up more than someone sitting in an outside lane when the inside one/ones are empty regardless of the speed limits or the speed they are driving at.
That doesn't excuse his actions, just an observance on the story as written.

Or you was approaching a right hand turn.

Quite frankly if you have never been undertook when you have been following traffic in the right hand lane or outside lane on a motorway be that three, four or five bloody lanes then you have not passed your cycling proficiency, never mind your driving test.
A point you may of missed was that another person reported this ****.

At this moment in time OP you may well be questioning your reporting of him. Well the next time I see you there's a pint of lager and lime on the bar for you from me.

Were you about to take a right exit from the carriageway? I just cant understand how you can drive in a right hand lane when about to turn left!
