I don't own a pair myself but they do look quite smart.
You do need to be play to a decent standard to wear them tho or you'll just look a tool.

I played tonight

Tee shot into fairway bunker ball ended up near front edge it had a about a 2 foot vertical face

Anyways play ball out well by splashing sand wedge into sand, sand and stones bounced off edge of bunker back onto trousers making them very messy indeed

Dusted them off without too much trouble

If wearing white dread to think what they would look like

Glad that I did not have white trousers on!

Do you have to be good at golf to wear white trousers?
Whilst I understand the "all the gear but no idea" principle, I have never really understood this thing about having to be good at golf to get away with a certain look. Our pro got some in and a member commented that he may buy some if he got down to 7

The classic for me was someone seeing me getting my clubs out of the car saying " that's a nice car for a 17 handicapper"

The Mrs looks good in them...... unfortunately I don't..... I wouldn't fit in them anyway :D

Reminds me.......was clothes shopping a while ago with other half and saw some ladies jeans....size 20 .....slim fit ?!?!?

Nothing wrong with white trousers. Was very reluctant for many years but a godsend compared to dark colours in this heat

If the clothing is the same material and size then the colour has very little difference if any at all on the amount of heat absorbed or felt by the person wearing them.

Loose fitting and light wicking clothing is the key, not the colour!!

So what car *should* a 17 hcp player drive?

I play off 16 and drive a 29hcp car...

Very true. I wear black Ping pants made from some sort of light polyester I assume. They are the most comfortable hot weather pants I've ever had. Get a bit sick of being told "you must be boiling in those". ...I'm not, honest!!

That`s unreal!!!

In business even people who are crap but want to be good put a suit on for meetings.... so why not power dress (if thats what white trousers are in golf) for a game of golf.

This post has actually made me want some!

I love my white trousers, especially paired with a nice black shirt.
The only problem is that in any photo's taken of you around the course, you look like a negative. But I can live with that.

Somebody mentioned earlier that you shouldn't wear black pants with white trousers, try wearing white pants and then nobody will be able to see them to comment.
