Tesco own brand are doing a 12 year old single malt Islay at the mo for £20
I tried it last night and think it may be Ardbeg, anyway whatever it was it was beautiful and half the price of what you will pay normally.

Watch the blighters though as they sometimes sneak the blended word into their malt labels.
So long as it says single malt and Islay you know you are safe.

Another heads up for Tesco, currently selling the new Girvan matured [not sure about distilled] Aerstone 10 year old single malts at £20 [Normal price is £30]
They have a peaty one and a smooth one. The peaty one is first class.
Bought the pair with the idea of giving the smooth one to my brother for Christmas.
He might be getting socks and gloves now.

In a desperate situation, the only bottle my friend could find was a M&S 12 yr Highland single Malt.. so we thought it might be a good idea while we waited for some real ones...

Lo & Behold... it is a very good bottle of dram as any mainstream brand and half the price

Not a great lover of Glenfiddich.

Now Glen Livet is another beast altogether.

😍😍😍

No real whisky doesn't have an E.

That's a new one to me! :):)

(The) Glenlivet though is a thoroughly good dram!

Personal favourites Royal Lochnagar (just has everything a 'good' Whisky should have - why some folks say it's a bit 'dull'!) and Lagavulin (for end of evening!)
