Hi Guys.
On saturday I shot an 80, not the lowest I've shot, that was a 76, BUT, I didn't take more than a 5 on any hole. 1st time ever this has happened
and for me I believe this is my best ever round.
This got me thinking about my game. As much as I've enjoyed shooting sub 80's I don't think I've played as consistently and solidly as not to make a 6. Recent rounds I've shot an 80 but with an 8 + 6 on the card.
The nerves over the last few holes were as much as I've experienced shooting 79 and below but for different reasons. So the question is, is it better to shoot low and be up and down in your scoring, or be very consistent and make far fewer mistakes? For me it has to be mistake free and consistent golf.
What do you think?
John.
