I have just changed my irons to staff fg tour my p wedge is 47 deg (old clubs wedge was 44 so had a 50 deg wedge and a 56) I feel that having a 50 wedge with new new clubs is a waist obviously as its very close to the wedge...Thinking of swapping the 50 for a 52 and keep the 56? Any advise would be great thanks for your time!

If you're a 3 wedger then a 52 slots in quite nicely.
Or you could go 47, 52, 58........

More important than lofts si actually how far you hit them. You may find that the PW from your set, although it's only 3 degrees stronger than your 50, it may have 1/2 in longer shaft so the gap between 47 and 50 might not be as small as you think.

Some testing required Methinks.....

Like Imurg has said above.....

I have the same irons and i have 52,56......I may go 52 58 but that would be it.....3 is plenty for my game.
A smooth PW for me is 105mtrs and a smooth 52 is 92.....The 56 is around the 78 mtr mark......

They say 5* is the best gap between wedges. So why no get the pro to tweek your 52* wedge to 51*. Cheeper than buying a new wedge, plus the gaps will be spot on then.

I struggle to understand why 47 - 51 - 56 is necessarily better than 47 - 52 - 56, let alone how this would play out as a practical advantage.
Generally the GW will have very little bounce and is well suited to a little adjustment in the hands ie opening up etc
