Which Brand has risen the most?

Yep.
They are just about back where they used to be in the Corrigan/Book/Bell/Lee/Summerbee era.
Mind you, they don't have as many England capped players now, so maybe not.
Grealish Foden sterling, Jones, Walker, half a teams not bad. We’re not that greedy. Good job we didn’t get Kane ?
That aside ah the days of bell. We have to thank the Utd fans for voting and calling one of the stands after him. It’s affectionately called the “ Bell!end” ??

Here is the start of season 1970/71 squad photo. Note they were holders of the League Cup and European Cup Winners Cup. Previous season to that they won the FA Cup.

This was surely a highly regarded British brand. Have they achieved this status again or not, I wonder. Have they won a European trophy recently?

Is that the Welsh centre back who payed well against Athletico?

On a similar note to my post about Starbucks and Costa...Nandos! Just WTF?!?!
Dry, old, overcooked chicken in a variety of very ordinary sauces that taste like they've come from a bottle in a supermarket. Had it once, never again. Genuinely don't see the attraction.
And yet, some people talk about it as if they literally sell nectar?! ?‍♂️

There is a very simple explanation to that. They cannot cook so are happy with rammel food.

So now you're agreeing with me (y)

How many Irish gags or Essex girl gags are there out there; are they all true or based on stereotypes?

I'll fully agree that their image was appalling but having owned and worked on one, I'd take it over a number of other cars of that era. Didn't do too badly in their class in rallying either.
A friend of mine had one in the late 80's so I'm not going purely off image. With a brand, image and reputation are sometimes out of a companies control and skoda being the butt of jokes at that time was partly unfair. On that we certainly do agree.

They were very rough and ready, they were way behind other brands at the time in term of interior and refinement. If you don't agree with that, that's fine, we disagree ?‍♂️ None of that applies now though, hence the point about them rising the most.[/QUOTE]
I would say that Skoda have changed their target audience. As BiM says, they weren't crap they were just aimed at the entry level market and did it well. They now target the mid range market and also do that well.

Bob on mi duck. N if wi spoke rammel Fragger wunt understand us so wi wunt Gerran infraction ?
Once upon a time, a bloke got a job transfer and moved up to Leicester from down south.
On his first day at work he walked into the staff canteen at lunchtime and asked, "What's the soup today?"
He got the response, "Its chicken duck."

What is the history of 'duck' ?
The Scottish 'hen' is easy to understand for a female chicken who looks after her brood.
Is duck a female duck ?
