Which Ball & Why?

AD333 for value for money and I also like TM Burner TP as they just "feel" good to me.

Was using Pro V1's but it was getting a little expensive with the amount of balls I was losing :D

Have been using Pro V1x over the winter, normally use Z Stars but preferd the Callaway i(s) which in my opinion is a great ball.

Considering the B330 RX, anybody tried them? if so what like.

I use AD333 because they are the best value for money in my mind. I haven't actually bought premium balls, but when i've used the ones i've found I haven't noticed much difference. Not £20 a dozen difference anyway.

ProV for me lovely feel around the greens especially from the putter. Only down side is the way that the Vokey spin milled wedges eat the cover for breakfast, dinner & tea!!

Have to agree with this. Those vokeys do have good taste though :)

craw im pretty sure that the b330s are the softest ones. hard to get a dozen less than £30 a sleeve is similar to the price of proV's. i personally think they are great, cut easily, but are great. saving mine for the summer

If they are like Nike which cut and scuff with every shot then I'm not interested.

The cover on Nike premium balls is total mice, paper wouldn't cut up that badly, not a fan of Nike balls. They feel crap and are as hard wearing as a sponge cake on a belt sander!

Currently using up a stock of Srixon Z-urs from last year and then I am going to have a ball fitting session with my pro to see which ball fits my swing characteristics best on the launch monitor. Whatever ball the pro suggests might not get put into play if it doesnt feel right.
Really liked the feel of the Callaway i(s) that most of us tested recently.

I have a few of the B330s balls I'll let you try. I love them, great feel and resiliant cover which doesn't cut or mark. You must be knifing a lot Pete.

I'm using the freebie Callaways still - like them both.
Also got a dozen and a half Z Stars that I dive into as well as ProV's. Sometimes the ProV spins too much, especially with the softer greens and the ball either spins back from an approach or digs its heels in on a chip. I find the other two easier to control.

For a knock about ball, I've been using a couple of Maxfli Revoloution balls from years ago. I used this ball all the time when it came aout and it still feels good. Not sure they work as well as they're supposed to after all these years but hey..

My next purchase will be 6 dozen Noodle+ at £9.99/box
(unless someone from here knows a cheaper price)

Played with one last week and it was every bit as good as a ProV or Srixon for me.

Im using Wilson Dx2's at the moment but ill change to the nxt's in a month or 2 when the greens and the ground firm up a bit.
I dont think that i can justify playing Pro V's just yet as i loose the odd ball or 2 off the tee at times.

Normally I prefer Pro V`s or Srixon Z-Star
But after reading a few of the comments here I`m Definately gonna try the new Callaway (i)s.
I like the soft skin balls for short irons around the greens,
gets plenty of bite & spin.

Winter time I`ll hit anything.

Funnily enough I was doing a bit of reading recently re golf ball specs, in as much as a large majority of golf balls suffer from imbalance irregularities resulting in the similar effects as is seen in crown bowls where the ball does not roll straight. Read an article where it was explained that the top pros have their golf balls balance tested on (similar to car wheel balancing)equipment. Figures quoted even for top of the range balls were pretty poor for balls making the grade(well balanced)averageing in the 30`s per hundred tested. :D

Explains how those in the hole putts you make vear off at the last minute for no apparent reason

AD333 for me class ball, almost as good as the V1's but at half the price.
I am going to give a 3 tube of pentas a shot, but very much doubt that i'll play with them regularly.
Although if i was to switch to a higher priced ball I'd be torn between the V1's and Callaways s(i) as I really liked the callaways when i tested them
