where to stay at St Andrews

I was lucky enough to get tickets for me and my boy for Sat & Sun. I very much struggled to find accommodation at a decent rate but eventually settled on a campsite (tent pitch) in Leven. My only issue now is deciding whether to get the train from Markinch to Leuchars each day or drive to St Andrews it's roughly the same travel time but is there decent affordable parking in St Andrews ?. ???

There will be no public parking in St Andrews.

The park and ride is generally excellent. Its probably easier using that than fanny around around with trains Markinch to Leuchars where you’ll end up getting on the bus anyway.

Still not sure they’ve published details on the exact park and ride yet. But they’re generally not too far away accessible from the A92, A91 and A915. All of which are pretty easy from Leven.
