We must enjoy the day that’s for sure...it’s a great day for democracy and I hope they rig up speakers on the scaffolding of Big Ben to play such anthems as Jerusalem, I vow to thee my country, Rule Britannia etc then at 10.58 a final rousing chorus of Land of Hope and Glory then at 11pm I want Big Ben to sound along with every church and town hall bell throughout the land! It’s going to be a wonderful wonderful day people!...it’s a great time to be British (tbh when isn’t it??)

Why??

After all, if we want to celebrate being British, we should do it by doing what the British do best - ie crack on without make a fuss of things. We're leaving, so let's just get up on the day & get on with it. We don't need to make a song & dance about it.

I like the PM reaching out to the youth and more free-thinking of the country by hoping we can have bongs at 11pm on the 31st January.

Maybe Farage can use his £150,000 pay-off from the EU when he finishes as an MEP to fund the bongs he is so keen to be having. And I'm sure that Tice and Banks have got plenty enough to fill the gap.

It's not going to make a lot of difference to me. And having Johnson and his cronies in government might be financially beneficial for me - at least in the short term. But unlike some I'm not really thinking about the impact it'll have on me.
