Positivity and negativity.
I've never heard of them until recently and now I hear them all the time.
Are they proper new words or have the media been at it again?
I thought 'infomercial' was bad enough

Negativity has been around as long as Britain and Brits! Positivity is rare - and generally suspected!

Agreed...but shouldn't it be 'Ah, to be sure it will be ok'? Or is that just the ones I've met!

You obviously just met the

"is it yourself"
"dont look but do you see who's coming"

Rural Irish

City irish are different
Dublin "awwwwrite bud"
Cork " story boyo"
Limerick .. no comment il only upset Mike (kid 2) :p... ps he has been quiet lately

Mind you the Rural are a bit more easy going ha

I love the 'is that you missus' that West of Scotland shopkeepers etc use at the end of a transaction.
Quite threw my wife when she first moved here.

More so when they asked 'do you want a poke'. [bag]

Negativity.........jings you should have listened to Radio Scotland phone in this morning about 'getting to work when the Games are on.' Who on earth said that Glasgow folk are always bright and cheerful!

I've met some pretty dour kiwis too:o

I too don't trust anyone that's too positive, it either means they've been drinking or their medication needs changing !!!

All those who travel are 'happy' to point out the things that are wrong with the place they are in - that work much better 'back home'! It's a case of appreciating the origins and the different environments!

If a Kiwi ever complains about Railways, Underground, Motorways, cost of Flights, or Beer, just ask them about their own! They may have a point about the Banking System, Price of Fuel, Lack of Service, Congestion, 4-5 months of grey skies and a few other things, but there's a pretty simple, classically English (Anglo-Saxon) reply!!

In quantum mechanics, 'Negativity' is a measure of quantum entanglement. I thought you would have known that Bob as it's a vital factor in the 'New Ball Flight Laws'

got to be careful as i have 9 points for infractions but i was referring to the comedy nan on tv,seems it is ok for mainstream tv but not a web site forum on a minority sport.

you have to be careful about stating your infractions as that can lead to more infractions as I found out to my cost:rolleyes:
