What's your worst score on a hole ever?

12 on a pretty innocuous par 4 at ours, all 12 genuine shots with no drops or penalties.

Red mist appeared at shot 7 which cost me 3 additional swipes.....to be honest 12 was actually decent result as I got up and down from 100yrds once I'd finally extricated myself from the hole I found myself at the bottom of!

Probably very high in the distant past but, more recently, I had an 11 on a par 4 a few years ago. I lost my ball and the provisional from the tee and had to go back to hit another one (2nd hole in 36-hole club championship qualifying so I wasn't NRing!). Not really sure how I managed to take 7 with the third ball but it's fair to say my head had gone by that point. Playing partners found both of my first two balls by the time I got back to them from the tee.....

Anyway, the two ladies I was playing with were amazing. I was all over the place for a couple of holes but they managed to calm me down and I played the back nine 2 under par to shoot 80 and a decent second round meant I still qualified.

I can remember running up a 14 on a par-4 hole when playing in the Midlands Junior Open many years ago. This included several penalty drops out of gorse bushes an OOB and a lost ball. Pity really, because I played pretty well for the rest of the round. :(

Worst I have ever 'carded' is I think a 12 (last year - April time). Middle of fairway off tee - 150yds to green. 8 shanks plus a drop out of a gorse bush later I'm on the green and two putt.

In a comp I've has a 10 twice. For one of them I chipped in from just off the green for the 10 - so that makes it a great 10 in my book :D

PS Saw a mate have a 22 once......in greenside bunker for 2, 18 attempts to get out then a great sand save!

I play at a nine hole course and on our club championship two years ago I took a shanktastic 14 on our short, easy par 5 sixth hole.

On the second loop I took a 15.

Playing off 18.

Sigh.

I walked off the 9 hole course at Cams Hall after playing the first 4 holes (one of which was a par 3) in 29 shots. Tis the only time i've not completed a round!

I hated doing it but I was dragging my FCs down so offered my apologies and slinked off home.

I recall a 12, made the bad call to play a ball from the gorse on the 6th, messed it up then all relief/dropping options were of little help. Managed a good hcap cut that day nonetheless with the adj stableford system. I think due to the fact that a 12 was so bad it was comical, all pressure was then off to make a score, was totally relaxed and bagged numerous birdies from there.
