What's your worst score on a hole ever?

11 on a par 5 playing off 9.

God only knows what horror shows I have ran up in my time before I got a handicap and knew about Stapleford. Seem to remember racking up a cricket score on some hole at hillside but lost count. :o

Mine [ so far ] is a 13 at our 4th hole .
After starting birdie birdie par and thinking this game is so easy I've finally cracked it, then wham bam the wheels came off. .

I still have nightmares about that Friday 13.

I haven't played it for years but I'd love to give it another go. For a Muni its a great course, just a shame it takes at least 5 hours+ to get round.
Some Scary tee shots for a beginner just starting out.

We should get a game there one time. I played it a few times when I was tentatively getting back into golf a few years ago. Really good course, like you say not easy for an accessible course for beginners!

Just had a look back through howdidido. a 12 is the highest I have taken. Back in 2011. I wasn't to be outdone though...as someone had a 14/15 on a different hole on the same day.

A 16 at the 10th at Craigielaw. Got it into some long stuff, foolishly declined to call it unplayable, had a hack without moving it, and took the inevitable consequences. Very little of the long stuff left by the time I'd finished.

A 13 on the par 5 5th at Belton. Out of bounds down the left where I hooked my first 3 tee shots. Was my first ever medal at the club as well

Took a 17 on the Notorious 11th at Heaton Park :(

Id like to, it's just finding a time when your not likely to be stuck behind a 4 ball drinking cans of special brew.
We used to play At 5:00 am on Saturday mornings then pay when we'd finished.

Its a bit like the Bethpage Black of UK munis. They should have a warning sign for beginners on the 1st tee telling them they'll need at least 20 balls to get round.

11 on the par 3 7th at my old club Bearwood Golf Club. Just could get a wedge to sit on the green... just kept going one side to the other after a slightly right tee shot to the defending bunker. Only 1 putt required though!

I had a 12 on the East Course @ Saunton on their toughest hole (14th). i was pin high in 2, but had put it in the long grass (very long grass), i chopped and i chopped and i chopped.

Would have been funny to tag the shot every time on gamegolf!!!

in recent times I think I had a 14 a few years back... the rest of the round was ok and I even made buffer!

9 on our par 4 10th.
In a medal while going well - just after one of my playing partners informed my my hcap wanted halving.
He stopped laughing about an hour later.
Loads of 8s on par 3s :o

Re Heaton Park - only played it once, jeez it's tough.
What hole is the 11th Qwerty, that blind par 3 ?

My worst score in an official competition was on the 9th at Crowborough Beacon.
I was going quite well and was only a few over gross when I got there, proceeded to blast two balls right into the trees, never to be seen again and managed to rack up a very nasty 9.
I then played the back 9 in 2 over gross and qualified for the semi finals of the Survivors bowl, which was held the following day.
Problem was, I hadn't told the secretary that I couldn't actually play the following day and when she rang me that evening to congratulate me on reaching the semi's she wasn't best pleased that I hadn't indicated this on my card as she had to go all through the score cards again....:mad::mad:

I learnt my lesson with that one.
