With Ian Poulter leading the way pushing golf clothing to levels previously deemed inappropriate on a golf course, I was just wondering what the forum concensus is on what to wear on a golf course.

To me its important to look smartish and clean especially shoes, but i think more importantly comfortable.I also admire people who have the balls to dress loud or different to everyone else and have there own identity like Ian Poulter.

I'm in the Camillo Villegas camp myself. I used to just wear an old pair of work trousers and any old polo shirt but I figured I spend so much time on the golf course I ought to invest in something a bit smarter, nothing too offensive (although I do have one pair of Galvin Green trousers that are bordering on the Ian Poulter :))

I went with Paddy Harrington but if im honest i think poulters and villegas's attire is class......
I would love to have the confidence one day to wear what Poults wears but im not at a good enough playing level yet....
Its bad enough drawing attention to yourself with the way you play at times without accentuating the problem by wearing load clothes.... :D :D

One day maybe but for now im in pastel v necks and polos and casual pants in navy grey black or beige..... Very like Harrington but i want my game sound first before i go on a fashion parade. :D :D :D

yep, i like to look good on the course, just puts me in the right frame of mind! mind you, it doesnt always lead to good scoring. only one medal so far at our place, 2nd one on weds.......i feel a cutter(outfit depending, lol!)

Loud and smart.

Poulter's fashion is amazing. Even more so it's his own design.

Villegas is also very smart, but all Lindeberg stuff is A1

Shame both ranges cost a small fortune but wortth every penny.

I am the first to admit that I have no real style. Pair of chinos, normally black, a polo short and a sweater if it is cold, nothing loud or over the top (except for the red and yellow stripes on my Addidas shoes). To be honest I do not have much choice, I am a big bloke and few if any of the more fashionable golfing brands make anything that fits me.

Went with the Villegas option. Can't do with a lot of what Poulter wears, all pink outfit once I saw him in I ask you!!! I tend to go for a bit more subtler look than his but a bit more daring than Paddy so go for Galvin,Hilfiger, JL,Stromberg,Boss Green etc when finances allow as none of them are cheap to say the least

Villegas looks great on the course.

I think its good to look smart on the course.

As an ex goalkeeper I always liked colourful keepers jerseys, think Campus (sp?) Mexico keeper in the 90s.I have taken that onto the course and have lots of different colours. Its brightens things up at times when the golf is poor.

Black trousers or navy blue?
Black sweater or navy blue?
Black polo shirt or navy blue?

That's me in a nutshell. At this moment in time I have no desire to draw attention to myself on the course!!!
