Whats your lowest scratch score at your club?

My course is par and SSS 72.
My best competition round was an 83 (net 66) four years ago in about the fourth or fifth comp I played in when very little went wrong.

I feel I'm around 10 shots better now but still haven't beaten it in competition, but I will this year!

Many years ago aged 15 and playing off a 14 handicap I scored 74 on my local par 69 course. Followed it with several consecutive rounds between 77 and 79. Having taken up the game again last year after a 30 year break the lowest I have managed is four rounds of 81. Only my touch of an elephant on and around the greens has stopped me going lower.

Lowest is 9 under, but was a complete one-off of madness, never got close to that again, and doubtless never will. Had several 5 unders at various courses, but all social, none competitively. Usual score is around mid-70's, low 70's reasonably often and rarely high 60's, but more high 70's/low 80's than lower. Once had 7 birdies and an eagle in a Medal, and ended up 1 over, the triples took their toll

Away....dunno....had a few 3 or 4 over par games....wouldn't remember the scratch. That was a previous life.

Don't worry Bob, I know I am due a cut. I won the medal three weeks ago and they had it as a non-qualifier and didn't give me a cut I would say 18 is a more accurate reflection of my better golf as I have only shot below that a few times and only in bounce games. I have put in a lot of practice over the winter and it has paid off. It's just a matter of getting thh rounds in now to get down a bit.

Handicap gone up a bit in recent years so happy to shoot 77-80 in a comp nowadays.

my best score has been an 85 once and two 86s.
handicap generally around 18 when shooting these scores.

heres hoping to better that this year, last 86 was 3 weeks ago.

After playing poorly in the North Kent meet last Friday and an abysmal round in the "5 club" competition on Sunday, I shot 75 yesterday (par 71) in a friendly match play with a mate. Suddenly the tempo of my swing got better and the scoring did too


My best competition score is also 75

Have managed 2 80's this year, one in a comp. Hoping I can break the 80 milestone sometime soon.

My course is only 4800 off the yellow tees and id be surprised if its more than 5000 of the white tees.
