whats your home course?

As per signature Shandon Park in sunny Belfast! Lovely mature parkland course with tight fairways lined with lots of trees. Greens have always been the attraction of the club!

I'm at St. Georges Hill Golf Club, feel very lucky because I absolutely love it. Not the longest course in the world but I like every single hole of the 3 9s and there's a good club atmosphere too.

I used to play the 9 hole there every Saturday when it was a separate 9 hole course to the main 18. used to be about £4 to play as many times round as you wanted. Used to love the 2nd and 3rd.

My home course now is Leighton Buzzard (http://www.leightonbuzzardgolf.net/). I really enjoy playing there, not long at approx 6100 but a tricky (read potential card killing) last 3 holes. We've been doing some major redevelopment over the last year, new tees, lengthening a couple of holes, couple of new greens, a lot of new bunkers etc. Shaping up nicely and will look really good when finished.

I'm a member at Goodwood in West Sussex. Two courses, one is parlkand and winds around the Goodwood house which is lovely. Open to the public.
The other is the Downs Course which is as the name suggests up on the downs. Has parkland elements and also is quite exposed so you can get some strong links like winds. Plays all of the 7104 yards on a blustery day and can be a brute.
Great place to play and we even have our own unique buggies...

You are indeed a lucky man. I play in a Society event there every year, although I do prefer the red and blue nines over the green nine. Think your centenary may be the same year as ours, and with the Harry Colt link, hopefully might get a reciprocal arrangement.

As per my sig, Salisbury and South Wilts.

Been there for over 20 yrs and love 26 out of the 27 hole we have to play with.

Its a downland course, 6485 par 71 18 hole and a 2378 par 34 9 hole.

Greens on both courses are very good also the course is kept up together very well indeed.

My favorite hole is the 17th, not a long one 311 yrs last bit up hill. Have once been on the edge of green, summer with lots of roll but now I just either lay up with a mid iron or slice my driver out of bounds over the trees  , but for the big hitters its a good one to go for, as I'm sure some one here could tell you all about doing just that.

Also very lucky to have another course just 6 miles down the road from me, which I play every Saturday morning which also is a good track, apart from the green at the moment, a little all over the place.

I play at East Devon Gold Club. It's a heathland course with plenty of heather and gorse, situated on a cliff top. It's relatively short at 6300 but tight, its par 70 with a SSS of 71. The greens are well know in Devon to be top class (although, i'm not sure what happened to them this year). The veiws from the 16th tee are amazing on a clear day, you can see as far as Portland Bil which is 35 miles away.

Great course, great club house. Played in the Trilby Tour there this year and a practice round before hand. Will be there again before the TT event to test it out. Really nice golf club.

Where abouts roughly in Devon is that bud

ASHTON IN MAKERFIELD as fair test for all golfers,we have a 20 hole course and close holes when work is needed but next year back to original layout with an extra par 5 and tougher par 3 over a lake so should be a par 71,well protected by trees but well worth a visit if near WIGAN.

Mine is http://www.grimsbygolfclub.co.uk

Joined last year. Played for several years without ever going here and now regretting that as it is by far the best in the area in my opinion.

Not over long at just over 6000 yards of the yellows / 6160 yards off the whites but a classic Harry Colt design protected by the layout rather than length. Its slap bang in the middle of town but when you are out there you don't realise it and on a summers day you could be anywhere in the world - absolutely love it.

3 lovely par 3's between 150 - 175 yards with very difficult well protected greens and one monster at 248 yards off the whites. Score well on these and you can have a decent card - mess them up and its cricket scores.:)

Blackwood Golf Centre County Down 6,392yd par 71

A pay and play course with a very small membership and a small club. Love the course but being a commercial outfit it is not always operated in the best way as they take too much money out and don't put enough back into maintaining certain areas.
But play with a good bunch of lads which more than makes up for it. Plus it's easy to get a round most days of the year. New caterer starts on Monday too after nothing for a few months which will make it better for everyone both members and visitors alike.

My home course is Vivary park,Taunton, soon to be Taunton and Pickeridge[hopefully]
A council run municipal course, and only 4500 yrds.
Par 66,but every hole is tree lined, and the fairways are ultra tight.
You have to be very accurate and a score of 70 is deemed a good score.
