whats your home course?

Will be stopping off for a round at Burnham and Berrow on the way done to Trevose/St Enodoc next year. Looks like my sort of course, no trees.;)

ooo coming down my neck of the woods to play... Maybe consider where i play as well bud as for trees they are only on a couple holes and its a lovely course.

Aylesbury Park is my 2nd home
Not overly difficult but it has some tricky holes
6166 from the Whites so not hugely long either but we do have 5 par 4's over 400 yards.
Par is 70.
A bit cheap'n'cheerful but a reasonable test.
A strong finish is required.
16 is a 437 yrd par 4, uphill
17 a 498 yrd par 5 - just reachable if you hit a spanking drive
And 18 a 429 yrd par 4 straight back to the clubhouse.

Have just joined my first club a week ago and loving it. http://www.armygolfclub.com/home

Have been sponsoring a hole here since February and always in good condition and a challenge for all golfers. Hosted the county championships this year and arranged again for the future so must be doing something right.

Seems to have a good friendly membership as well which was important as only know a couple of members.

Burnkam is a great course - boy that second hole can be tough off the tee when the wind is howling in your face and off the sea!

I play at Bearwood Lakes near Wokingham and Reading - only opened in 1996 but on a really nice site so maturing nicely - it could be described a parkland/ woodland, Lakeland course with American influences and heathland characteristics - not too many of them around! After a long and stressful week there is nowhere that I would rather be. The owners are also spending a lot of money on significant changes over the next 18 months - see bottom link.

Gathurst golf club. Quite tight but not very long at just over 6000 yards. Some really tricky card wreckers with a 430 yard uphill par 4 to finish. Forget scoring if your too wild off the tee. Nice track but might be changing to shaw hill next year as it's a better test.

My home track is Whitewebbs Golf Course Enfield very cheap and good introductory course challenging and forgiving in different parts of the course.

Me too.

I'm a member at two courses.

The Nairn golf club, links course 30th GM top 100 courses UK & Ir. Held the Walker cup in 1999 and has the Curtis cup next year. Archie Simpson design 6700 off the blue and 6400 off the white. Traditional out and back course wind being the main course protection.

Tain Golf Club, Old Tom Morris's northern Gem. Again a links. Always in great nick featured in last months GM hidden gem feature. I play a bit in winter and its normally still on full greens and normal tee's of which they have a couple that are well forward to protect the landing areas. 6400 off the whites.

As per my signature I play at Stoke Rochford. Regularly voted the best golf course hidden behind a BP Petrol Station.

:D

As per my sig, Thornbury Golf Club. It's a Burhill club, so quite "commerical" and sometimes full of commoners in the summer months ;), but it's interesting, always in good nick (52 weeks of the year), has some nice views and a nice 18 hole par 3 course to hone the short game.
