just wondering what course people play out and how it is? The bay is a par 72 and just over 6500. Nice course especially on a nice day as you play along the cliff tops for first few holes then on the 10th drop right down to sea level. Then climb back up and end the last 4 holes in a parkland type setting away from the sea front. Love the course but on a windy day with a strong sea breeze its hellish and seperates the men from the boys, unfortunately that day i become a boy.

As per my sig. Situated a pitch and a putt from the racecourse it is a new course. We were inside the course itself but moved in 2004/5 when the moved the Straight Mile and built the new grandstand

Portsalon in Co Donegal, recently been voted as the 27th best course in Ireland  Just a smidgeon under 7000 yards and normally windy :( so plays a lot longer.

my home course as of this year is killin golf club.

it's very shot but is difficult due to the horrendous par 3's(2nd/3rd) and the 4th which is a pain in the butt.

and with it being a 9 holer you get the privilege to play those holes twice....

the other course i play at which was my home course as a junior is callander golf club.

this is a lovely course which is quite short but once again it's very difficult with the long par 3's and small greens.

there are 3 par 3's at 200 yrds or more and one of them is uphill...bummer!!!the condition is very good though and the best i've seen for a long time, when i was a junior there most folk use to moan about the condition but it has came along since then.

as of april next year i'll be working at balfron golf club as a greenkeeper so i'll be able to play there aswell as medals so i'm looking forward to that.the condition of balfron is excellent and the layout is quite cool, some nice holes.a bit of everything.

Galgorm Castle, in Ballymena Northern Ireland.
Great Parkland course, 6736 yards, lots and lots of water, pleanty of trees and currently getting longer!! :)

West herts. A lovely parkland course, through plenty of woodland, mainly laid out by old Tom Morris. He knew his stuff. About 6600 off the blocks. Not a difficult course, but honest, what you see is what you get.

i just joined my local club last month, burnham and berrow, a links course in somerset, 6400 yards of the yellows and nearly 7000 of the championship.
Its also got a tricky 9 hole course.

I absoluteley love it one of the best courses i've played and i'm a member :)
everyhole is a joy to play

this is a pic looking the second, a 400 yard par 4

the rolling fairway on this hole is superb, at the end is a tricky two tier green bunkered on the left and a steep slope on the right

As per my signature I play at Stoke Rochford. Regularly voted the best golf course hidden behind a BP Petrol Station.

Gourock. Overlooks the River Clyde and Argyll hills.

Moorland 6408 yard par 73 with stunning views of the above.

North Weald in Essex. Not the greatest course around but not easy by any stretch. And it's welcoming which I kinda like.

I'm a member at Blairgowrie, both courses are a good test with tree lined fairways and heather in between.
There are some fantastic holes that really appeal visually on both courses and although Rosemount is more scenic Landsdowne is the better test.
On both you really need to be accurate off the tee or your playing sideways at best so not one for the slicers.
Rosemont was described by Tom Morris as, The most beautiful inland green he had have ever seen.
Lansdowne is the longer at 7007y and Rosemount being 6630y both par 72's.

Scotscraig GC 13 th oldest golf club in the world ,cracking course which is a great test of golf, was good enough for Final Qualifying when The Open was at St Andrews.

Will be stopping off for a round at Burnham and Berrow on the way done to Trevose/St Enodoc next year. Looks like my sort of course, no trees.;)

As a few on here might know I play at Blackmoor. Heathland course coming up for its centenary in 2013. Harry Colt designed, and despite being less than 6200 yards and a par 69, can be a tad tricky at times.:smirk:

Great course. I lived in Portishead for many years and played B&B a few times.

My home course is Henlow Golf Club, its on an RAF camp but is wholly a civilian club. 2 sets of 9 with seperate tee boxes for all 9 and 2 different greens on the back 9 make it feel like playing 18 as opposed to 2 x 9. only 5900 yards par 69 but small greens and pretty tough, tight fairways and OOB on pretty much all holes makes it a good challenge

Its also cheap as fook so serves me nicely as a beginner golfer, shame I find it nails to play though and get next to sod all GIR :)

I play at http://www.bramptonparkgc.co.uk, just outside Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Its a nice parkland course with some very tough opening holes, especially the first, need to be long off the tee with pin point 2nd shot over water to a very hidden quick green with water behind...

The only downside is the sewage plant right in the middle, but its only noticable on the walk from 4-5 and 15-16...
