I've watched countless videos, read many books but one thing confuses me.
Many instructional pieces conflict when it comes to the grip.
Some say grip the club with the fingers only. Some suggest having the club lying diagonally across the left hand with the butt around halfway up the palm, emerging on the first pad of the index finger (if you get my drift)
There just doesn't seem to be a "one size fits all" method of gripping the club.
I have to say the club feels more solid and secure when gripped in the palm, but you lose the wrist flexibility gained from gripping with the fingers only.
Which school of thought do you subscribe to when it comes to gripping the club?
I us the interlocking grip because it works for me.
As for all the material on the subject, I have tried following all the diagrams in various books and it is very confusing, I played about for a bit but ended up going back to the grip I have now. I've had several lessons over the years and the 1st thing I ask is whether my grip is OK and always been told it is fine and not to change it so that's good enough for me.
I'd suggest going to a pro and getting him to check yours over then stick with it.
