The Grip most important part of the swing?

If DJ and Spieth swapped grips and swung normally I reckon DJ would be 2 fairways right (if it didn't hit the blimp) and Spieth would take out a spectator on the left of the tee.

Neither of their grips are 'wrong' for them.

I used to coach squash. Step one was how to grip the racquet correctly. A poor grip significantly limits most players' ability to hit a full range of effective shots. There will always be some players who achieve greatness with unorthodox technique and have a built-in ability to get it right at impact in a unique way. However in my experience the majority of players benefit from learning the 'correct' basics.

I think this applies to golf too and should get some lessons myself.

I don't think it's quite the same as golf. You're saying there is a 'correct' standard way to hold a squash racket - but in golf the 'correct' grip varies from player to player.
