What's your course like at the moment?

Course is closed and it's bleedin' snowing here now

British summer time and Spring, there avin' a laugh :(

Fully open - got a club match today and course looking lovely

can't believe some of you guys down south have snow. we were forecast it all day yesterday, but looks like it had a more pressing engagement down there. no doubt it will be gone in a few days.

Wet.

Haven't seen any snow as reported by Fish in nearby Coventry, but then I'm not such an early riser at the weekend so it might have melted by the time I looked out the window.

Last nights downpour didn't help matters but at least we are open. Course is still sodden and the amount of time spent looking for plugged balls at the moment is ridiculous. One of our group couldn't find his tee shot on 10 so went back to reload, we didn't see his next shot but heard it land on the up slope of the fairway about 10 yards away. Despite looking we couldn't see that either but I put my hand into a hole in what was about the right place and when I was down to my wrist I managed to pull it out. Brings back memories of Sticky Vicky.

First medal of the year and the greens were stunningly good. Great pace and running true. Great effort by the greens staff and even more so as they weren't able to roll them because the frost came in after they'd been cut!

Difficult.

Just had the big amateur competition today, Selbourne Salver, for plus handicap golfers. Won with two under par over 36 holes. Two scores at one under, and no one else broke par. Course has a par 69, and CSS for both rounds was 72.

After all the rain the greenkeeper did great work today to remove all the standing water on the greens - still a few puddles on some fairways but course was playing lovely

15 holes open today which were very good, especially the greens, just glad to be out there swinging to be honest 🏌

The last few days of mostly decent weather has brought ours on in leaps and bounds, even the wettest parts were drying out nicely today, there is possibly a little rain due tomorrow but the rest of the week looks dry so hopefully we have seen the worst of the conditions and it will only improve now.
