Just been down to the course for a bit of short game practice and whilst I was there asked about getting my handicap qualifying rounds in only to be told the tee's are still moved way forward and you can't do qualifying rounds yet.

Our greens are in a sorry state as well, they had the little holes drilled in them a month ago and they still haven't closed back up so its practically impossible to keep a put on line/jude distance.

I only joined in January so don't have a H/C yet meaning I can't play in any comps - so annoying. I was hoping to get a qualifier in this week. I expected the course to be in a reasonable nick by mid April.

Played on Saturday and it was borderline playable. Soaking wet underfoot and a lot of casual water around. Then we had hailstones and rain into Saturday evening, and then snow on Sunday morning, so the course was closed. Hopefully they'll leave it closed a few days and there'll be a bit of dry weather (maybe even some sun :o ) to get it back on track.

Excellent condition but long. Very long. Be gobsmcked to see a hcap cut before June.

Ours is starting to look really good again. All divots were refilled last week in our yearly divot-day, the greens are really rolling nicely already and it's really starting to feel like golf again. Still on winter tees and playing with preferred lies, though, I guess until the end of the month.

First medal of the year this coming sunday. The greens are dodgy, covered in sand, tufty, and full of dents from the tining.
We have been playing a short course over the winter, but sunday we go back to the tips, so it will be a culture shock!

Course is taking shape nicely they spiked the greens and fairways ,sanded them ect but it's all starting to heal up and look lush the grounds bone dry (beauty of a links course ).got our second medal of the year off whites this Saturday can't wait .

Courses are in fantastic condition if only I could find time to play them.

Two weeks, no golf and I'm losing my mind.

The course was starting to show some great definition and looking the part and then we got hit by deluge of wet weather again and it's been on & off heavy showers now for nearly a week returning the rough to some very boggy areas and the green staff can't the machinery onto the course as its too soft, so just as we were going forward nicely this recent wet weather has took us backwards again 😡

A couple puddles but greens are lovely and fairways taking shape

Can't complain about ours at all, it's in great nick.

my mate sent me a picture of little Aston as he was there today, so so wet. Such a horrible start to the season for a lot of golf clubs.

Burnham is in amazing condition. The greens are literally some of the best I've ever played in my life.

the players is still very wet, greens have just been spiked/tined so should be good by end of month

I played on Sunday for the first time in ages.
Course was in very good condition, much better than I was expecting to be honest. Not masses of run on the ball, but only to be expected in April.
A couple of the fairways are being "reshaped" and some trees have been cut down from the left of the 2nd tee to open up the left hand side of the fairway a little more.
I reckon two more weeks of dryish weather and the course will be perfect.

It was starting to dry out quite nicely
Consistent rain on most days and it was getting very soft again on some holes (Friday)
A bit more rain overnight into Saturday would have closed it again but they got away with it.
It's open but will benefit, even though we're due a dry, warmish day today.
Playing Wednesday and hopefully Friday.
The course just doesn't seem to be given a chance to dry out.......

We have the same problem, just when you think spring has arrived and it starts drying out it pours down again. I was hoping to play today but after a downfall last night I'm just waiting to find out if its closed again.
