Ours is pretty good, and starting to look like a decent golf course again. Just a few scabby patches on the fairways. We are still on Winter rules though.

as it should be! winter rules all year round wouldnt be a bad thing. would solve landing in a divot for sure
I hope that never happens![]()
I dont want to start a whole debate (but it probably will) but why do you hope this? If I hit a ball say 200 yards straight and it comes to land in a divot on the fairway (left because someone hasnt repaired it) why should I be punished for something I couldnt aim to miss 200 yards away
I have always wonder why people are so dead against this. if your on the fairway only whats wrong with moving the ball 6 inches (no nearer ofc) to get relief from a divot
It's called rub of the green - it's such a rare occasion as well.
Winter rules was brought in to help protect the course a little and to ensure your not landing on greens with balls covered in mud etc.
Picking and placing isn't really golf is it
ah I understand, fair enough that does make sense
however would you say that relief from a divot would be a good rule to have?

WP was open and wet but at least trollies have to stay on the buggy path.
E has been open and no problem at all.
Shut!!! Members moaning about missing a weekend of golf, which I understand is frustrating, however, it should've been closed a few times to protect it during the heavy rain over the past few weeks!
