Shed lock seized around 1977? :D

I have a 5 wood sat in my locker only recently decomissioned from the mid to late 90's. still good for it too, even with the original grip.

I know this may sound a bit sad,but something crossed my mind today.
First, how long ive had and been using my Gillette Sensor Razor,it must be
over 10 years,of course i had to change the blades, but thats value for money.
Also my cycling shoes, shimanos, have had them 15 years and there still going strong.
Whats lasted beyond your expectations, non golf related

Um the razor blades are the most shop lifted item EVER, they are stupid expensive so you have paid many times over for the handle!! Sadly though I have done a little experiment that is along these lines(I am a bit embarrass about this but it seems relevant now). I use a Mac 3 and a little over a year ago I thought to myself, how blunt can the hair on my face really make a laser cut blade? Surly I thought it would get to a point where it had lost its really full on newness but then it would plateau. Oh god, yes, I have been using the same Mac 3 blade for over a year now, there is no conditioning strip left on it but its still great and seems to get no more blunt than it was after a month. I shave 4 days a week with it and although I am not the hairiest guy ever, I do need a shave before work if I am in a shirt and tie.

Ye, im a strange guy... but I just wanted to know.... there is nothing I can say that will make this sound normal...:o

Question is, when do I call time on it?

I am too young and from the "disposable" generation, I rarely keep anything for a long time apart from clothes as I am too cheap to buy new ones and eat healthy so still wear clothes from when I was 15 :o

If it breaks, wears out, doesn't perform like new I first try and recycle it, then see if anyone else can have it, finally chuck it. This is good in a way as my wife is a bit of a hoarder so any space I do not fill up she puts trinkets on or a bookshelf in (not so much now she has a kindle).

My entire life can fit in the back of a car, two suitcases of clothes; two sets of golf clubs (antique inter war set and current set), my PC and peripherals in two boxes, that folder of legal stuff everyone has and a few kitchen/presents from wife items (dolche gusto :D mainly).

Sad huh?

Does it not pull the hairs out rather than cut them? Or do you just have bum fluff. I have to change my blade every other week, it hurts too much after that.

Seems not to, and no bum fluff, I have to be cleanly shaven for work...

my last pair of work shoes lasted me from my first job in the city 15 years ago until about a month ago. the cobbler has finally said that enough is enough and there are no more re-soles to be had...absolutely gutted. Church's know how to make a good pair of shoes

On my first day of work some forty plus years ago I was issued with a pair of scissors... Still got 'em and they've seen more than their fair share of 'action'... Still using them on a daily basis though like me they're in run down mode :(...
