Make sure you get the roof fixed if they can't fix it right away ask them to cover it until it's done. Water tends to flow along electric cables and it wont take much to bring your ceilings down.

Head gasket? Not a rover was it?

No, it's an old Omega V6 which I've just sold after 11 fantastic years with it!
Now, the car that's knocking IS a Rover! It's a Rover 25 & knocks because it over-heated really badly when the bottom hose came off! Head gasket was done about four months ago & I suspect that the bottom hose wasn't put on tightly enough, but how could I possibly prove that? Still, as long as it's running she'll have to keep using it as it's worth about Jack!

Just got back from Lanzarote, what can I say.
The first two nights saw the hotel reception being flooded due to the immense rainstorms and the 50+ mph winds!
The weather was fine after that though.
Flew back to Luton. Three hours & £54 later, through the snow I might add, I was back at Gatwick .......... where my car was parked. Opened the sunroof to let some moisture out of the car ............. and now it won't shut properly and the repair is about £800! Welcome home Slime.
Oh! and I've just had two fillings and my laptop now won't work properly!
On the plus side, I've sold, (virtually given away), my car with the dodgy head gasket & it's replacement should be available in a week or so!
All I'll tell you is that it's a six seater, it's a soft top, it's turbo charged, it's got two doors and it's 15 years old!
Any guesses. Oh, and it's very, very rare. They only made about 2,000 of this particular model I've been told.
