What would be the ruling here....

Saw this the other day. Bit of discussion as to what happened etc.

Did he throw the club in anger, did he think it was going to drop so lifted the putter up in joy & it slipped etc?

As for ruling no idea...

I think he was celebrating it going in and the club slipped
 
Not sure - One shot penalty and replace the ball from where it was first moved.

TBH probably just better to WD and go home!!!
 
Yes, I assume it is Rule 18, as he accidentally caused his ball to move, so would replace under penalty of one stroke. However, could you argue he actually deflected the ball whilst it was in motion, so he's actually have to play it where it lies with penalty of 1 stroke.
