We never did find the head of my mates 8i. He spent two hours out in the woods with a metal detector too.

Not Petron though, an old MacGregor set of blades.

I had the head break on a Petron 7-iron, somewhat disconcerting as I wasn't sure what to watch (the head went further).

I've also got an Aldila shaft that I found separate from its Maxfli head, the shaft is now a training aid.
