What things are you currently working on in your swing?

If you try and take more divots you need to increase your angle of attack.
This can be done by moving the ball back in the stance or swinging more out to in.
I suspect if you are hitting it left, you are doing the latter with the clubface square to the swing path.
Try moving the ball back in your stance a touch and see if that helps.

One of the things I am certainly supposed to be doing is moving the ball back in my stance.

However, at the risk of getting in way over my head in this discussion I don't think it's an out to in swing - these bad shots are starting fairly straight and then curving left.....

1. Making my backswing path more like my downswing path.
2. Making my downswing path more like my backswing path.
3. Staying behind the ball to impact.

Sorry, when you said your bad shot was a pull I thought you meant it started left

Had a lesson at golf live and said pretty much same as my pro.
1 keep posture on down swing- keep straightening my spine
2 fuller shoulder turn on back swing

If I do the above I hit the ball quite well

Chipping and pitching

Rotate body and less armsy.

And finally need to practice my putting alot more.

had a lesson last week, working on not coming up in the backswing, and hitting it from the inside, down the range after work and think i just broke world record for amount of sh**k"s in a row !

Well i know that i said i wouldn't ever video my swing again it looks like i may have to....
I have a one plane swing and when its working its great....Nice straight shots and at worst a hook.....I can even throw in some baby draws...

But when its off like it was the weekend i miss both ways......
I need to find out what it is that is wrong......
Lately what i started to do was to nearly lock my left elbow at address where the inner elbow would point up at the sky....
I was striking the ball well this way but it may be a bad thing.....I felt like i was reaching for the ball at address but from reading about the swing itself this is supposed to be bad for a 1 planer.....My hands should be hanging relaxed from the shoulders and be under my chin not outside it.....
So i have a few things to be fiddling with....
Its fun though i have to admit!

I have been really hitting the ball well for me lately and even when I duff it it seens to go over 100 yrds... The duff I have now is from hitting maybe 4 inchs before the ball... I put a quick fix in today of 60 / 40 weight on my left foot... Is this a short fix or something everyone does? My pro always bangs on about 50/50 and at the range this works for me for obvious reasons... Also I might not be 60/40 more like 55/45 as it is minimal but man what a difference it makes on my striking.
