What really makes you happy...

Getting into the clubhouse feeling like I haven't "left many shots out on the course "

Even when i've played awful there's always at least one moment when i've done something good - smashed a drive 250+ yards onto the fairway, holed a long put etc. That's what keeps me coming back to the game.

Buffering after a bad ball striking round i find particularly pleasing !!! Of course it's great to have days when it all clicks but i get the most out of getting a score out of a bad round.

Shooting a good score.

Ironically when I score well how I actually played isn't that memorable it all seems pretty boring really. no drama's.

Shooting a good score and hitting buffer or getting a cut. Ideally coupled with a good ball striking round although this is rare and usually I have to scramble and putt well and good striking doesn't always equate to good scores.

When Jade in the clubhouse overdoes it with the onions on my sausage and onion sandwich.
I love onions.

A sausage and cheese cob wi barbeque sauce, ( a sausage doins ) we call it on a cold days golf it just hits the right spot. it makes us happy.
Unless Rene the miserable chef is a bit tight wi the cheese.

What makes me happy is managing to turn up every Sunday morning without the pungent fragrance of the fine single malt from the night before and having a head as big as my handicap

Coming off the course knowing I've given it everything

Ie planned every shot, read every putt, backed off and reset everytime I've not set up correctly

It's so easy to switch off, get lazy and go through the motions (particularly just after the turn)

Really happy if I can genuinely accomplish the above as those things are under my control. Unlike my swing
