Ive just found out i came 2nd in my clubs victory bowl comp yesterday.As i wasnt able to make the presentation (apols) it got me wondering what sort of prizes you guys win at your clubs???

I dont know yet as the pro wasnt in the shop today. Do the best ones usually get snapped up on the night? i wouldnt know as it was only my second comp.

me an my dad won the cadman last year the year before it was £100 towards your annual green fee well guess what it was when we won about £60 and was split between us as winners and second place

For the big honours board events, the winner usually gets some form of replica trophy to keep but for medals the winner gets a small medal with the date engraved on the back. Other than that medal and stableford winners just get vouchers for the pro shop

In a lot of clubs you get nowt if you don't turn up for the presentation!!!

same. unless you apologise to the captain/vice as why you won't be coming or you can arrange for someone else to collect it for you

I am not sure that you are allowed to win money off your membership or greenage it may break the rules on being an amatuer. although it may have to be the whole membership

First prize in our 'Major' competitions of which there are five is £300 which may be pro shop vouchers or glassware/jewellery etc at choice of the Captain. We pay 1st, 2nd, Best Gross, 3rd, 4th. We also hold a subsidiary comp the same day for those that are not in the final paying same structure but around half the value. Winter prizes are usually bar/catering vouchers. We do not pay cash in any official competitions.

ok went to find out earlier and turns out ive got a £70 pro shop voucher. thats my new aqls sorted out then.But the consulation was i got three shots knocked off my hcp..

I won the Spring Cup at ours on Saturday, also unable to make the presentation so have no idea what I've won. Been told to expect £40(ish) and my name on a trophy.

Came third in a medal and got £18 snots which was spent on pints of Belhaven!
