Interesting to see what part of the game you feel really makes your score card look good

Be honest :)

Putting for me

Last 3 rounds have been 30, 31, 30... This is pretty much the norm'

Now if only I could get off the tee effectively...............

Most recently its been my course management (not on the poll). Just generally taking my punishment and trying not to score worse than a bogey.

My putting has salavaged a disaterous round and turned it into merely a mediocre one. Getting even better with my odyssey white ice # 9 in the bag. The only true way I can keep my score low is to give up after the first

Putting for me. Today I couldn't get off the tee very well and my long game was frankly crap still managed to knob it round 7 over with a double and a triple in there

I notice my lower scores are when i take fewer putts.... However i think its down to me getting the ball nearer the hole on approach rather than my putting ability !!!!!

For me it's my chipping and putting but chipping does more than anything. Inside 40 yards I'm pretty deadly but from just off the green I'm at my best. Shame I take too many getting there to make the most of it!!

If the answer is "putting" then it does beg the question - if you are consistently putting at or around a set figure, then surely something else is the better answer?

My driving is steady and my short irons are OK, so my answer is fairway shots....the distance-eating ones, not the tactical lay-up stuff.

Then again, it's the long holes that let me down...... :(

At the moment it's chipping. I currently seem to be able to knob it somewhere near the green and get up and down a decent % of the time.

I find it changes though. In a couple of months it might have deserted me and my irons will be the saving grace.

It's the days when everything clicks that make all the rubbish inbetween bearable :)

Amen to that

Driving - can't score well if you're knobbing/slicing/losing your tee shots.

Praise the ....

Why's eveyone saying putting? FGS....you make a BAD score if you putt badly. Does having 32 putts keep your score low (for you, whatever standard that is?!*) if you nearly always have 32 putts.

I am most consistant with my mid irons, my driving and chipping can be good but can also be iffy, the standard of my putting has been well documented.
