What memory

Balls
I've just bought an 8GB SDHC Transcend card for £10.50 and I thought that was cheap.

Balls doubled. I bought a SanDisk (class 4, ultra) off Amazon for 11.69. OK until I checked my account yesterday and the expected delivery date is.....

17th January.

Holy crap! I ordered it on 22nd December...how many working days is that???

I ordered a "sound bar" off of Amazon for a mate of mine to go with his new telly. Ordered it last Wednesday it arrived two days later on free delivery.
You must have upset 'em Geezer
;)

Also, stuff I ordered for the boys on 27th December turned up about 3 days ago.
They must realise you are a right knob
:D

No mate and not sure what class that is (although
I didn't look and the info may be there), for HD cameras you really need class 10

Please excuse my ignorance, but is class 10 necessary.

I took my wife's xmas HD-pocket-camera for a walk t'other day to test it out.

I put in a temporary SDHC card - a PNY class 4, 4gb.
It worked very well.

or am I missing something?

(I'm not being argumentative, I'm new to all this!)

I think the M.D. of the company in Jersey that does the Amazon orders is probably cross I'm in this months GM and is punishing me. :(

Generally, no. Unless it has a very high data write speed from the camera and in quick succession, ie a high end Digital SLR camera or top end 1080p camcorder, I have a low end 1080p camcorder and use class 4 memory and it works 100%

Surely our favourite resident inventor/golf problem solver/general all round good egg will have a high end digital SLR? I have and thats without a wheelbarrow full of royalties to blow on boys toys ;)

Inventor?

I used to have a canon 1000d and lens kit but never gave it enough use so flogged it on and bought a new noisey exhaust system for my motor :D
The camcorder was a pressie from the wife last year, works grand though is a bit "hunty" in low light scrabbling for a crisp image.

I wish :(
I've recently got the GE Q1455 14mp compact from Asda for £67, hence the need for a memory card
