As the title states, what makes your read some threads but ignore others, as there are many i find interesting but many people do not and vise versa? Some get hundreds even thousands, whilst others hardly get any views

Main catagories are -
  1. Title (could it be dramatic)
  2. Subject
  3. Poster (either like them or maybe not so keen:o)
  4. How many people have or have not viewed it.
  5. All of the above.
  6. None of the above??

It's easier to decide now with the preview feature - hover the mouse over the title and you get the first line .
I have no real method of deciding, if it looks potentially interesting then I'll have a quick look.
Obviously if it's completely irrelevent I won't bother

Usually threads with 154 views and only 2 replies are the ones i'll avoid having a click of.

Up to the topic creator to grip his (or her) audience and entice them into making a comment.

I have no method, it it mostly mood driven although I have never been in a waterproofs thread. Some weeks I will read x type of post and others not.

If I am early into one of those 10 page posts I tend to make my point but a little while after that I will lose interest if the debate changes direction.

The usual balls, waterproofs and what bag threads tend to get ignored other than that I will have a look at most of them if I have the time.

As an inexperienced golfer, I'm interested in people's views on most golf related topics - even waterproofs!

The preview feature is useful for picking out which threads sound most interesting, if you're short of time.

me personally i'm only interested in the secret thread for "senior members" where we get to share photos of the Solheim Cup teams in their swimsuits

If it werent for that i'd spend all my time on snowheads instead

I'll normally look at everything. Most people on here usually have something worth saying and if the thread isn't great then simply move on. The thing is we are gettign more and more new members and so of course we'll get the same topics but usually they end up going off on tangents anyway so its usually worth a look

Always look at all the threads. But will only reply if I have something to say. Some make good reading but I cant think of anything to say, but enjoy other peoples replys. Its surprising what you can learn even in the most off the wall tread, like this one.
