What Is Your Wedge Bounce?

10 on the 52 and no idea on my 60 as it's a cheapy dunlop and it doesn't say but bugger me can I hit it well lovely wedge and puts on tons of spin

Really?

I'm beginning to wonder.....

I've got a 56* with 10 bounce and a 60* wedge with 4 bounce. Absolutely no difference in terms of getting out of bunkers etc.

Nowhere near as big a deal as some people make out.

what is your preference? very little, some or lots. I can see benefits to all three although I am leaning more towards some and lots these days.

ignoring the benefits of bounce is a little silly. not knowing/understanding how it will affect a certain shot especially in conjunction to opening the blade leads to bladed shots across the green.

examples include - people with low bounce wedges sticking the leading edge into the soft ground all winter and wondering what it is they are doing wrong.

diggers with low bounce wedges through their set.

very little sand in bunkers and guys with high bounce wedges trying to open up the wedge to get it over the high lip. club bangs off the hard ground underneath and blades it.

guys in bunkers with lots of sand and very little bounce driving the leading edge into the sand and no exposing the little bounce they have. ball chunks about a foot.

I've been there and seen it happen time and time again! need I go on? ;)

Bought mine second hand from Fish when I didn't know anything about bounce (I still don't, really!!). Mine have:

47 - 12*
52 - 12*
56 - 10*
60 - 10*
