What is the toughest course you've played?

Dornoch's back 9 into wind was an absolute slog.

Turnberry off the tips was probably the toughest 18.

Carnoustie, for me. Almost unplayable in some conditions but an unforgiving challenge even on a good day. Tough but fair with very few holes you can "relax" on.

I also found prestwick pretty tough but that might be partly down to all the blind shots.

Southerness also very hard but I've only played it that one forum trip when it was blowing a hooley!

Royal Lytham for me.... Spank a drive down the pipe and watch it funnel from the middle of the fairway into a deep fairway bunker...

Southerness was a brute in the wind 0 room for error.

Personally that back 9 on the Sunday in Aberdovey in driving rain and 40mph gusts destroyed me!

Hillside was a toughie as was Woodhall Spa and those pesky bunkers. I have to say, Tylney Park is one that always chews me up. It's quite long, especially off the tee with deep rough and I always seem to struggle there. Not sure why, just one of those I can't get right

Tylney Park?!?? The easiest course in Hampshire! Would love to hold a handicap there..:.:

Taking conditions out of the equation I would go for Formby, very long and the pars from the red tees are based on men's distances, it really beat me up on what wasn't a bad day weatherwise.

Ganton. Absolutely beat me up for 4 rounds in the work champs. 3 rounds in the high 80's and made the cut by 6. Highest handicap in the field was 7. Winner finished around +25 for 4 rounds. He was off about 2.

Majlis at The Emirates 2 days after the Dubai Desert Classic was tough. Slick, slopey greens and deep rough. The Earth course at Jumeirah was just as tough.
