What is the Biggest Iron your carry?

I've just put the 2 iron back in the bag, but have always carried 3&4 irons, as I really don't like hybrids.
In fact, at the risk of being flamed, I think more golfers should learn to hit long irons well than to swap them all for Hybrids.

If you count the Mizzy Fli-Hi as an iron then I carry a 4 iron.
If not then a 5 is my longest iron..

For a true iron its a 5 but I do carry 3 & 4 Mizzy Fli-hi as well.

6 iron, not realy bothered about how it looks in my bag , more concerned about how it looks in the middle of the fairway and with my ping G20 20* 23* and 27* i know that from 190 to 130 i have it covered and it is going to go straight and down the middle, and that will do for me

3 iron, it's my go to club. if wood or hybrid is misbehaving i know i can hit my 3.

Well this thread depends on what clubs you play. My Burners are a full club loft lower than my MP68's.
IE Mizuno 3 iron is exactly the same loft as Burner 4 iron!

I have 3 through to LW in my Ping Eye2+ irons, the 3i is 21.5* then 5 wood 19*

I carry a 3 iron with a 17* hybrid.....I have just bought a 5 wood so not really sure which club i should leave out.....dazed and confused!

5 iron is the longest iron I carry but I very rarely use it, so I am considering dumping it and adding a third hybrid to my bag or maybe a 5 wood.

4 Iron for me too...But its a slight marmite club......Sometimes i really surprise myself with the shots i hit with it...Other times it misbehaves and its stupidly punishing.....
I get on well with my 3h i15 and im contemplating getting the 4h and drop the 4 iron altogether....

Either that or im going to get a set of Burner 2.0 irons from 3 iron to GW.....I find it very easy to hit long iron GI or SGI clubs.

I agree with you about hybrid clubs to may folk using them these days

usually 4 iron for me but the 3 iron got an outing at Woburn and may have earned its place back in the bag for a while, not sure what I leave out though lol

mine's is a 4 iron, have to admit I hit that reasonably well, but swapped my 3 iron for a hybrid, which I manage to hit higher than my 4 ??

3iron for me, mostly for off tge tee or try to get a par 5 in 2. But also very handy in the wind as have a very penetrating flight with it.
