What is the best way to have 30+ hcaps in Comps.

My overly simplistic view? Just let them play. Every dog has it's day, as it were, and if it happens to happen with a card in their hand...fair play to them.

I'd wager the lower handicaps would beat them more often than not

It has been shown that 55% of the time the lower handicap player will beat the higher handicapper in a match and that stroke play winners are in proportion to the no of entrants in each category.

Boy was there a lot of stick going round the lounge yesterday
A player with a 39 handicap won his division yesterday.

The way a few were talking you would have thought he had shot something like 10 under his handicap .

He actually only shot 2 under CSS 1 under SSS.

Last fortnight's winner of the division shot 9 better than his handicap and barely a word was heard about it, probably because his handicap was only 27.
