I aint been playing alot recently with only half a dozen rounds in the last 5 weeks which really is unheard of for me but I have a good few games to look forward to over the next few months.

I have our invatation day to come,a game on the Old Course and a knock on Royal Aberdeen in September and also have a game at Royal Liverpool in October and the huge prospect of being part of the Scotland team defending the GM Ryder Cup the same month!! :D

What's everyone else's plans....any top trips coming up?

No trips unfortunately but I've got a competiton pretty much every weekend until mid September including our club championship.

The Wife's sanctioned a golf trip so who knows.......

Apart from from playing my place the other week with youself and IMO1 now't much played Porstewart Strand of the back begs yesterday ,what a course thats the 9th time i've played it ,it gets better every time.

Cant plan to much ahead as am still waiting on a date for my sons heart op,but looking forward to Goswick in October. Are you playing in the Royal Aberdeen open?.

RA, have wanted to play it but the last few years the open has always fell when i'm working. The Ireland trip is great value and i think you guys would enjoy it,as it was the family holiday this week only played twice once on the Strand and played the Riverside course there with my youngest ,could have a had a game on The Valley at Portrush but the wife was drawing me daggers so passed it up haha.

Entering into the world of lessons finally, trip to the Belfry in the middle of August and going to try and get 9 holes in after work as often as physically possible in an effort to groove out some consistency at last.

Club championship next weekend and the Masters (invite only to competitions winners over the last 12 months) in September. Other than that the usual mix of medal and stableford until the short days and temporary greens arrive

I have a betterball match Tuesday, an open on wednesday, saturday comp, then I am off to England for a week, have an open somewhere there with some lads i played at ramside with, and a knock at Ramside. Then I have q/f for singles knockouts and a few more comps!! Busy stuff, hopefully I will still have a home to go to, but there is a chance the wife and kids will throw me out! lol
Also, there is a block of 6 open comps at Galgorm with a chance to win a hollybob to Aphrodite hills for the winner, awesome!!

6 weeks off school. On holiday for two of them, golf for 4 of them. Have many comps and junior opens to play.

Off to Singapore for 3 weeks (stop off at Dubai too) at the start of August, plenty of courses to have a bash at too, I think there are around 6 just outside the airport too!
One saturday left before that to try and get the handicap down further then when I come back a few saturdays then the club championships.

Stableford Saturday, singles matchplay q/f Sunday morning, pairs matchplay s/f Sunday afternoon.

It calms down a bit after that!

One big comp left this week and my singles semi-final to come. An Open at Royal Norwich later on but pretty much all the good stuff is finished now. Probably going to get some nice rounds in around the County using my County Card , I like September for getting out and about , usually courses have finished all their big comps and they quieten down a bit.

Well other than the regular club comps I've got a nice wee golf break organised next month with the wife to go and play down Stranraer direction.

Got an outing with the boys to Gullane later in the month. I always like Gullane so looking forward to that one.

Then going to Gleneagles to see some of the golf at the Johnnie Walker in late Aug. It's the last event before the Ryder Cup team is announced so hopefully it will be a good event on show as they vie for last places and Captains picks etc.

Nothing major in September (yet!) then its the GM match at Goswick in October. Looking forward to that one big style :D

Just slowly going to try getting back into the groove of things and hopefully playing to 14 or so again before long. I had come on hugely before injury and want to step back up again.

Hoping to take some of Smiffys money off him again real soon, really missed doing that.

"Again"
When were you ever off 14 Jon?

Cheeky Git.

Before injury curtailed things my society handicap had been cut to 14! Had a legendary round at deangate where I went round +8 for the whole round. That was the last round I had before crippling myself.

Just cant wait to get back into it, getting down the range thursday. Got to get a new putter as I cant find my old one.
