My came up with a Stiff GS75 in my irons and a Prolaunch Axis Blue regular in my woods.

I actually quite liked the old Prolaunch Blue but do not see it around much anymore.

I did this before and it brought up the same specs again...
My 7 iron is my 150yrd club and it fitted me for S300...

Not sure if thats a good or bad thing as my new Pings are AWT stiff shafts :D

It says carry mate.

Rifle 6.0 for me.

150 yard 7 iron, mid trajectory, average tempo, standard weight and length.

That's MILES too stiff.

Do you carry your 7 iron 150 yards? or does the ball roll out to 150?

You say that, but at the moment, I'm digging my ball out of it's pitch mark, so it is all carry, and yes, my gps says I'm hitting from 150. Hit an 8i 165 the other day. Twice. Not intentionally either.

I put in 145 just to be sure, and it still came up rifle 7.0, which is X stiff. No chance.

Not quite at the moment, but I do in the summer. At the mo I'm still taking the 7 iron from the 150 yard marker and it is a little short but still on the green (unless I hit it long and left ;) )

I would imagine it is the weight and tempo, that catches most people out.

Most people know how far they carry, but how do you define what your tempo is, it's very subjective. Add in the fact, that someone might input a 7 iron carry based on a superlight shaft with a strong lofted head and then request standard weight; it's not surprising errors occur.

I think if you knew how tempo was defined for the tool and the 7 iron loft was specified, the results would probably be a pretty good starting point.

I am not sure that is too stiff. Project X 6.0 would be too stiff, though, but it is a half flex stiffer than Rifle.

I think the Shaft Fit is a reasonable starting point for a fitting, providing you answer it truthfully.

GS75 S200 in Irons - Too light I would think but I dobut my shaft is on this thing as its Mizuno only.

PROLAUNCH AXIS BLUE S - Sounds nice to me but I dont know enough.

Well Al....
All joking aside our course is measured in mtrs and all day long in still conditions i hit 6 iron from 150mtrs....

My 7 iron i will be hitting from 135mtrs-140mtrs...

It works if you know all the details. I think I would actually like to hit a high launch shaft before I buy.

I only hit my 7 iron 140 yards of carry :(
